Hi, good morning everyone~! This time we’d love to give you some little tips and tricks before having vacation in Bali, Indonesia. Sure that sometimes we ever imagined that something bad might happen to us while having a trip and before these things trap you in, we’ll give you advice. Enjoy reading!
Please take notice for taxis: always use “Bluebird” Taxi. There are many taxis whom privately owned (buy an old taxi with a dodgy meter or no argometer), charging you an unreasonable price.
Taxis’ argometers started around Rp5.000,- (60 cents) then it increases around Rp5.000,-/km. That’s the right measure.
Please do NOT give them any of your belonging (money/small change, foods, drinks, etc)! These beggars make a very good living by begging in traffic lights and earning money weekly much more than the waitress do in a month!
Beggars’ trick: Bringing young babies and children used as the bait. Sometimes being paralyzed in some parts of the body.
3. MONEY CHANGER
Be very careful when changing your money! Always check the rate of exchange and commission (if there’s any). Visit an authorized money changer like banks — not one in a stall or down the side alley. The authorized money changers are always in a proper glass shop front and usually have security waiting outside.
The currency converter that we always use: http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/ Showing you the accurate rate all over the world!
Always expect the unexpected: keep your eyes and your mind opened while driving. Beware of motorbikes! It is the best to rent a car with full insurance as this will save time and money if you’re involved in an accident.
Bring your valid license at all times.
Hope this #BaliTravelAdvice can be useful as we love to see you enjoy your holiday to the max~! Relax your nerves and … ciao!
